This painting depicts a local plant in full bloom with white flowers. As the wind blows, the petals of the flowers are taken by the wind throughout the land. This story echoes the lives of the Yolngu people, who are also spread throughout different communities of Arnhem Land, but are united by their shared culture, strong history, and relationship with the land.

This work, as part of Cooee’s Christmas show, is available for sale from 3pm 27th November.
