A well publicised and controversial shield that was taken by Cook on the first landing at Kernell botany bay. 1770 and belongs to British museum. it came home recently for the first time 230 years and was exhibited at the National Museum of Australia. The gweagle community resisted loudly when the sheild had to be returned.
