In conjunction with Bondi Winter Magic Festival, Coo-ee Aboriginal Art Gallery brings desert warmth and gentle colour to the coast.
A selection of beautiful paintings inspired by the cool tones of winter and the Australian landscape, from the desert to the tropics. Artists and artworks featured in this winter exhibition will be from the Central Desert, the Kimberley’s and Far North Queensland.
Lines, dots, splashes and splotches of red, pink, orange, green, mauve and blue are contrasted against creamy earthy tones of sand, white, grey and black.
The gallery, only a short walk from the Bondi Pavilion and three small blocks back from Campbell Parade, is found nestled amongst a grove of leafy paperbarks and eucalypts. Coo-ee Aboriginal Art Gallery has two floors of stunning artworks on display, with a full stockroom to be explored behind the scenes.
