STORY
Being inspired by the patterns of nature and the energy, colours and the spaces within the land/seascapes she has so much to explore on the canvas. These creations are her way of dealing with what is going on in her world. Her father’s sea country is largely void of people now. She travels down as often as time and season’s permit and as she sees another small sandhill disappear and a little less life on the large-scale reefs, she's still in awe of the sheer beauty and in these works she is capturing what is present. When she manipulates the paint, she can’t help but be drawn by exotic tropical life. Her culture still holds the stories for the land, and vibrant, bold and captivating colours on the beaches of her father’s country.'Emotion is my biggest inspiration. This work has optimistic tone like a yellow morning light waking to a cool early sky.I love bringing nature and art together to create a wondrous landscape. I created this piece to invite the viewers to feel the openness of space and enjoy nature's light interplay between colours and shapes.'
